Lorenzo White

Former Michigan State Spartan and the Houston Oiler Lorenzo White became the state celebrity spokesperson for the Florida Youth ChalleNGe Academy in Starke, Fla., in February 2005.  He now lives and works in South Florida.

Lorenzo was involved with FLYCA's Class 8 Family Day and Class 8 Graduation. In addition, he has participated in recruitment visits in South Florida by Admissions Coordinator Hawthrone Herbert.

In addition to working with the NGYCP, he is a spokesman for Community Health of South Dade, Inc. (CHI), on organization that operates six primary care centers, five out-reach programs and three school health programs including care for pregnant teens and their children. All sites offer comprehensive primary care of patients of all ages, but each clinic also provides additional specialty services including behavioral health care counseling. White is also involved in CHI summer football camps and speaks to kids at events and functions.

White is also involved with the South Florida YMCAs, Broward and Dade County School boards and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America football camps.
