JOSH GRACIN HOLDS SILENT AUCTION TO BENEFIT THE NATIONAL GUARD YOUTH FOUNDATION

Back to News

Country artist and program national spokesperson Josh Gracin held a silent auction and performed for an intimate audience of 115 fans as part of his 2nd Annual Fan Club Party held during the 2006 CMA Music Festival on Friday, June 9, 2006.  The crowd gathered at Mystic, a club in Nashville, to bid on items that would benefit the Foundation and to participate in a question-and-answer session with Gracin between songs.

Fans had the opportunity to bid on items Gracin autographed including a shirt he wore while performing on stage, as well as other items donated by country music artists Emmylou Harris, SHeDAISY, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans and Diamond Rio, among others.  Following Gracin’s performance, he graciously met with every fan in attendance.

“This event was a great way for me and my fans to show our support for such an important program.  The National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program has changed thousands of lives and I am proud to be affiliated with the organization,” Gracin said following the event.

Gracin became a NGYCP national spokesperson in June 2005 and has been active ever since by visiting programs, filming public service announcements and participating in Foundation events among other activities.  Most recently, Gracin performed at the Foundation’s ChalleNGe Champions Dinner last February.

In total, the event raised nearly $1,000 for the Foundation.
